Packages for Schools

Our Background

School 1

Canoe the Riverland has been providing kayaks, canoes, Instructors and Guides for school camps since 2000.

Now, with our upgraded fleet of touring boats and convenient river frontage, we can offer schools more than ever before.

We provide more than a base and knowledge of the area – we tailor a unique experience around education and group challenges that create memorable school camps.

Why run your school camp with us?

Bus Site

Starting from our property provides you with onsite parking, no delivery fees and round trips that eliminate the need for vehicle-shuffling and punctuality.

We have an overnight tent camping area with power, toilets, shower and change-room. But yes, we also deliver to other start points and help with vehicle shuttles.

Qualified Instructors

Jim & Ruth are Accredited Flatwater Instructors through Australian Canoeing and fully qualified through DECD. This means all qualification, police clearances and first aid qualifications are current at all times.

Jim is a qualified teacher and Ruth is a qualified nurse. Having a female Instructor in the area can really make your life easier.

Local Knowledge

We are passionate about sharing the local history and environment.

We provide up-to-date advice on weather & river conditions.

We also produce detailed maps & advice on the best campsites.

Our boats are designed for touring the river. Our kayaks have front & rear hatches and our canoes are roomy.  Hire includes paddles & PFDs.

If required, spray decks, dry bags, barrels and ruddered kayaks are provided at no extra cost.

Safety Instruction

Our area above Renmark has reliable Telstra Blue-tick phone coverage and we provide on-call assistance. We can use our dinghy to provide emergency assistance.

As Instructors and Guides, we complete risk assessments and follow WHS policies.
